    1. Innovate Sumter Awards Dinner @ Eisenhower Recreation Center
      5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

The inaugural Innovate Sumter Awards Dinner will celebrate businesses in prominent industries in Sumter County that have been nominated by their peers as innovaters in their respective fields.

There are innovators all around us. They lead, they make our lives easier, they discover new ways of doing old things. Innovation doesn’t have to be a ground-breaking, world-changing invention .It doesn’t have to be restricted to scientific or technology-based companies. Innovation can be found in every day businesses offering every day products and services.

Innovation covers every aspect of your business – you can be innovative with your products, your services, employee procedures, extraordinary customer service, or your business processes.

Clay Clark, America’s number one business coach, will deliver the evening’s keynote address. An innovator in his own right, Clay is a “US Small Business Administration Entrepreneur of the Year,” writer for Entrepreneur Magazine,  and the founder of Thrive15.com. He and his companies have been featured in PandoDaily, Forbes, FastCompany, Yahoo Finance, and countless publications. He started his first business out of his Oral Roberts University college dorm room at the age of 18. He was named the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year at age 20. Over the years he has been the “Entertainer,” “Educator” or “Consultant” of choice for America’s leading companies including: Bama Companies, Boeing, Farmers Insurance, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Maytag University, Oral Roberts University, O’Reilly Auto Parts,  OxiFresh, QuikTrip, Southwest Airlines, Valspar Paint, and countless other companies and organizations that were looking to grow.

Help us identify and recognize innovators in Sumter County’s most prevalent industries. Nominate a business or individual to be recognized at the Inaugural Innovate Sumter Awards Dinner.
