      Truly David Nolen – Shortly after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Entomology, joined forces with his father, Truly Wheatfield Nolen, to expand and improve the pest control business. With third generation Scott Nolen as President, a dynasty was born. Scott’s background in research and development has led to the development of natural techniques and inventions used in their family friendly approach to pest control. Now, Truly Nolen boasts over 80 offices located in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah.

      The company services more than 150,000 customers and employs about 1,100 partners, with almost 50 percent service technicians. Domestic franchises are offered throughout the United States. International franchises are also established in over 30 countries.

The Sumter County Chamber offers a variety of services, opportunities, committees and more. Whether you’re new to the chamber or a veteran member looking for more ways to get involved, Chamber 101 is for you. Immediately following every orientation session is a speed networking event. Make direct contact and exchange business cards with up to 40 businesses- it’s the most high impact hour you’ll spend all week! Members who attend Chamber 101 will receive FREE admission to the speed networking event.

    1. A Taste of Simply Sumter Food and Spirits Festival @ Sumter Place
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Celebrate the pleasures of the palette at the Fifth Annual Taste of Simply Sumter Food and Spirits Festival. Guests will enjoy a journey of the senses while they enjoy samples and cocktails from the local favorites that give Sumter County its unique character. Tables of delicious food and drink will be displayed while guests mingle and enjoy entertainment, a Chinese auction, and make their selection for the Taster’s Choice Award. There is no charge for businesses to participate as a vendor, but an auction prize valued at $50 or more is required.
