Fishing Report

Water is up and fishing is good..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plenty of recent rainfall has brought the water up to a good level. July bass fishing has been very productive. Early morning top water action has been very good.

Rapala's, torpedos, and rebel pop R's have been producing some nice fish up to 8 lb. 12 oz. range. later in the day and in the evening cane toads, speed worms, trick worms, and flukes have been producing some nice fish also. Watermelon seed, watermelon red and pumpkins appear to be the best colors.
Bluegill fishing was good again on crickets and worms. The size is holding up too!! Shell cracker fishing tapered off some after the full moon but was still better than average for July.

Best bets for August:
For bass-Same as July. Fish early if possible to beat the heat and thunderstorms. Top water plugs and plastic worms should work well. Try the shell crackers around the full moon time using worms and the bluegills will continue on crickets and worms.
With the water up the creeks and outlet should start producing some nice bream and stump knockers.
